My little cloning experiment.
This is a Gorilla Zkittlez clone.
I pinched it off the plant with my fingernails and stuck it in a solo of water. I let it sit for 20 minutes and pinched another inch off the stock while submerged. This is a technique that florists employ to make the plants draw up water and prevents air embolisms in the plants stalk.
It took around 12 days to root in plain tap water. No domes, stem scraping, rooting hormones or any misting.
I watered it twice and left it under my clone light. She never got floppy and she didn't lose any leaves to yellowing. She looks the same as when I pulled her off the plant.
Can't get much lazier.

Nice! My first job was in a flower shop and we would use that technique on the roses when the shipment came in.

Yeah. I worked in a greenhouse and a florist. When I came here I think I was brain washed a little. It seemed that everone was very specific as to the techniques used to grow and clone these plants.Nice! I decided to revisit some of the general tips and tricks that I used on those jobs.
It was 20 years ago so I have forgotten a lot of it unfortunately. Every once in awhile I will remember something like trimming stems while submerged and I feel like an idiot for not using it sooner.
Simplicity at it's best VG! More companies making us believe we need rooting agents and paraphernalia to make things work!

I was going to toss it but I had a conversation about cloning with HH and though .....why not? I have absolutely nothing to lose.
I should add that I didn't try to control rh or temp. They are in a warm and dry place. I think the humidity of my bedroom is around 30%. The temp is in the high 70s to low 80s.
