Good morning growers,

Waking up this morning and checking on the girls, for the most part, things seem fine. Temps are at 27c and RH at 64%. Temps drop to 22-33c at bedtime, with RH around 55%.

You'll notice all look pretty good, but one. She's showing light/hest sensitivity. I dont want to raise the light, because the others seem to be thriving. The ballast is at 50%, the light at 20", giving them a LUX of 16k.

Any suggestions? Or just let her go? She may be the one who doesn't make the cut.

Thanks,
V

Well, it happened. I always wondered what would happen if....

...my light, for whatever reason, crapped out in the middle of a grow. Now, I know. Better now, than when my 2ft T5 fixture won't cover one plant. I got the light close enough so that about 1/2 of each plant is getting about 17k lux. Working with zeroing in on other variables. To add, it was feeding day. And they said the second time.around is waaay easier. Ha!

My hope is that the stresses of the repot, bigger lights and now this don't hurt them too much.

They were coming along so well.

I have to give credit to the growlights.ca for answering my online submission form at 9pm. He verified my address, which tells me something should show up in the next day or two. Likely a ballast.

Day 23

Definitely better now than in the middle of flower! Hope they get it sorted soon.
Thanks, tracking says I get a new ballast tomorrow. The girls still look pretty good, so I dont think another day will harm them too much.

It just adds a day to the end of veg!
You got it, and that's no issue. Woke up to the girls praying a bit to the light, but leaves look good and tent numbers were stable. I cant see this being too much of an issue in the long run, but I'm sure the constant in and outs of the tent isnt fun for em. They seem to have taken up some of the water they got yesterday, so nourishment is getting in.

I've bunched them further to get closer to the center of the fixture to get a more uniform lux. 17k-ish, so well, nourishment is getting in. Light coverage isn't great, so I rotate the plants on their own axis to get them an even tan.

Cmon ballast!

You know that praying to the light is a good thing, right?
Like so many things, I read it is, then I read it can be a sign of stress and literally stretching for more light, who's to know really!? I just figured with the reduced light footprint and light in general, the leaves are demonstrating the latter.

I will state uncategorically and as strongly as I can that the natural lifting up the leaves toward the light as all healthy plants do while tracking the sun, is NEVER a sign of stress. Anyone who tells you that has absolutely no idea what they are doing. Please note that I bolded and underlined NEVER... that is how sure I am. I put my entire reputation on the line with this one in my attempt to dispel the BS you are reading, just because I like you so much! My plants pray all through the grow... it is how I know that they are healthy and drawing up as much water as possible. If my plants refused to pray, I would know that I have a problem.

Thanks for that. If there one thing the internet has alot of, it's BS. Thanks for filtering it out as well as you do and for that, I like you too :)

Well, then, the girls are praying towards the light, the numbers in the tent are good and the disaster, for at least the time being, is being mitigated!
