Wash buds or not

First outdoor harvest.
Going to chop tomorrow.
One thing I still don't have down.
Do I wash my buds or not.
I always wash my home grown veggies (unless I peel them)

I am certain that bugs, birds, frogs (yes i found a little peeper up high in the branches), have shit on my plants
I have also used "Plant Therapy" insectide (maybe a month ago)
To wash or not to wash (this will be strictly for edibles)

I have seen numerous posts on this but can't find any that refer to cannabis used strictly for edibles.

Bud Washing

First off, I did not come up with the idea of washing buds as part of harvest. I'm not sure where the idea originated, but I learned of it via Curso and DocBud. :Namaste: I've read with interest as several members have tried this technique. The idea already appealed to me on a logical level...

Yes, wash it. I haven't had any negative effects from washing, only positive.
I wouldn't wash my indoor plants unless they had a problem of some kind, but outdoor - yes! Highly recommended, and it's not that much work to do it, unless you have loads of plants.

Wash yer buds, especially outdoor buds. I wet trim then wash, so it also helps to clean off any leaf matter.

Yes wash your buds. Especially if You sprayed the plants at any point.

I had dead bugs, pollen (from nearby pine trees), dirt, leaf matter, bird poop, and likely lot of bug poop come off. Leave a glass table outside for the months during flower, then check it, and that’s not even sticky.

After you clean one plant you'll be SO disgusted at what you clean off, I promise you will never, NOT wash buds again
