Water for my New "WaterPipe"?

Hey guys, i just bought me a bong...and im curious, how high with water do i fill it up with?...and should i use warm, hot, or cold water...whenever i smoke outa my friends bong he always puts the water in and i never pay attention to how much...thanks

ps...quick responses plz i wanna try this baby out

Just make sure you cover the stem and it'll work. You can always play with the water level and see what you like it.

people tend to use cold water...depends on the size of the bong for fillage....i mainly fill my roor up about an inch over the stem

if you have a mulitchambered bong, id suggest hat a friend mentioned, 1st chamber warm water, apparently filters out tar better when warm, and ice cube in the 2nd chamber to cool the smoke. Hope that gives some ideas

True dat, thats how i always choose how much water to add, hey maby throw in a bit of crushed ice to for an extra smooth smoking experience

Isn't it also true, that water absorbs a small percentage of the THC when you smoke out of a bong? I.E. more water = less THC?

It's not water soluble when it is raw, yes, but I was under the impression that combustion changed the form of the THC molecule (or some other canabinoid) and which smoking bongs absorbed in some small amount, i.e. you still got 95% of the THC or so.

no...warm water loosens up the resin
which is why some people boil thier pipes to clean them
