I've made bho wax before numerous times. Yesterday I made about 25 grams and did everything the same way I usually do - the only difference was I used 7x refined butane instead of 5x refined and it was warmer outside yesterday than it had been when I had made it before. So while whipping, it took much longer than usual to purge and the end result is very gooey - like thin silly putty. Usually I get a nice pliable, easy to handle product that I can roll in a ball without it sticking. This stuff just came out so different and I'm trying to figure out why it came out this way. It smokes nice and tastes good - just not happy with the consistancy - Any ideas?

was probably the butane , go back to the same butane you used before and see if the results are the same, 5x 7x refined is all a marketing scheme it doesnt really mean how many times its refined

yeah I'd agree with ilikebike and say it was the butane. From my experience you should be able to purge the product to until its whatever consistency you desire
