Flip Day 42
Hey guys, just cruising along right now, enjoying the process. I decided to “dunk” the plants with a Transplant drench. I used a 20 gallon tub and broke a heavy sweat. This was prompted by the fact that they’ve started getting a little dry on the fourth day after their previous watering. I wanted to make sure they are good and soaked, especially since it’s been sometime since they’ve had Transplant. Flip Day 42

Well I’m glad you asked Beez and thank you sir! The phantom OG is, if I recall correctly, a 55 to 65 day strain. That said, I’m not a huge fan of indicas anymore and so I’ll be looking to take her before she gets too ripe. I’ve had a look at her trichomes, and I don’t think she’ll be there another 12 days. I’ve already got a surprising number of amber trichomes on the sugar leaves and the buds are about 70/30 cloudy to clear trichomes on the flowers. That’s honestly about where I start getting my mind wrapped around harvesting.
The remainder of the plants are sativa dominant and/or a haze strain. Due to this, I’m basically not even going to check the trichomes until week 9 or so. I’m in absolutely no hurry to harvest any of these plants. I just don’t want to get too indica’d out on the phantom OG, is the only reason I’m taking her early-ish.

Yes I did indeed dunk them haha. I mixed five gallons of water and then each plant got a gallon of the same transplant solution poured over the top for the bubblesYou dunked your 7gal pots!?

The water seemed to never want to drain out but I noticed a couple plants this morning had roots shooting out of the drain holes on my containers...looked freaky. Im thinking lifting those pots won’t be happening too often but it’s nice when I’m in a hurry to water and don’t want to use my sprayer to water.

Update Day 48
Phantom OG is in the bags....literally. I spotted two what I have to assume were nanners on her top bud. I failed (big time) to get a photo of them. From the tester I took in the middle of the week, she was right where I wanted her. Very 50/50 on her effects. She’s got a creative, speedy front end that settles into a deep relaxation. Not couch locked, just super relaxed. I get a lot of floral notes on the inhale with a strange smorgasbord of cookies and OG exhale that seems to work well together. Wet weight is 9.5 zips which I suspect will be between 2.5 to 3 zips after its dried.
Hindsight:
This plant, for both me and my buddy that grew this at the same time, was in a hurry to flower. His finished at exactly 7 weeks and mine only made it 47 days. He pointed out that he found balls on his trimming tray when harvesting and I found nanners, we’ll I’m about 90% positive on the nanners. Either way, Barneys Farm Phantom OG... good bud but I don’t need a buncha baby daddy’s up in my tent lol

I won’t be growing it out again based on its seemingly low tolerance to stress. That said, I’m eager to get it dried and cured so I can give it a proper trial.
Nanners or no, that's some nice snow! I'm glad it hits you just where you like it.

Update Day 54
Hey guys, so Phantom OG is in jars and it looks like just around 3 zips. The cure did wonders for an already great smoke. I was thinking about my comments regarding her resistance to stress. I completely forgot that I inadvertently snapped one of her branches when I was moving her around about three days before I found the nanners. That is explain everI suppose.
Things are looking pretty good with the rest of the plants. Seeing some fade in the leaf color a bit.

That tent is dripping with frost! I may have to drop my SLH bean this year after seeing yours.
