What are 420 points

Hey, can't find anywhere that says what 420 points are for, I know about reps, but there is a bank for 420 points it seems, and you can get a loan of 420 points, and ppl can donate the points, but what do we do with them? Just donate back and forth kinda thing? Need to know so I can decide to put them in the bank savings account for an additional 3.5%a month, or just give them back out to the community right away.

Awesome, Be Irie just turned me on to this thread explaining the points system. Scanned the pages here and dont think I saw it, my one question is clarification on 3.5% (or potentially 4.2%) apr or mpr return on savings accounts. It says 3.5% apr in this thread, but 3.5% monthly (every 30 days) interest at the bank. Aren't the two different?
