What do I need

25-50w per sq foot is ideal

Be sure you look at the lights ACTUAL watts... meaning watts at the wall, not the fictitious watts they are trying to sell ya at...lol

I run about 600w of Quantum Boards in my 4x4 tent

You will most likely need 2-4 lights to cover that space fully

I am currently using a Morson 1500 watt out put and that is more than enough for what you are looking for. I use mine in my attic but I have grown at least 4 plants in 3 gallon buckets at the same time. The price is right as well When I bought mine I paid like $89 five years ago. I looked at their website the other day and say the same one I have for $135. I also learned if you remove the glass you will get 5% better penetration on the canopy. Here are some picts of past grows I have used them for.

What kinda led setup do I need to grow 2 maybe 3 plants in a 4x4 space about 3 to 4 ft tall with some lst hst action? How many watts/lumens please?

Hello Havocsm1:

Our red spec 480w kit would be great for your 4 x 4 space. It comes with Samsung and Osram diodes. Here is a picture of our red spec boards in action at 29 days in flower.

Hi Havocsm1, welcome first, and welcome to indoor growing. :D
For your 4x4 space, usually you will need around 35~50w/sft on tradtiohnal blurple led grow lights, that means 560~800w for your space if you want to grow great. Usuaully if you don't got any light yet, I would have three options for you:

- 2 of the SP 250 total 460w, veg coverage 5x6, flwoering coverage 4x4
- 2 of the TSL 2000 total 600w, veg coverage 6x6, flowering coverage 4x4
- 1 of the TS 3000 total 450w, veg coverage 5x5, flowering coverage 4x4
Since you already have one 200w light, you will need another 400~600w light. :circle-of-love: If you could tell us the current 200w shape and coverage, we can recommend more suitable light for you for sure. ;)

We do also have some grow journals in my signature, you can check it out if you like. ;)

As many have said, you really need a minimum of about 35 watts a sq ft (wall draw). . You are looking to target about 900 to 1000 PPFD when it comes time to flower

Thanks guys, this is my first light grow. I usually use full sun. These lights are just supplimental. I already have 200 watts over her but want more. Thx, guys

Is that 200 watts wall draw or is that equivalent wattage? If wall draw, you need another 250w + to have adequate light for that space. Also, the angle of light coming off your current grow light plays a factor in this too for even coverage.

Not sure what's the actual draw is, how do I check that? Just got this VIPARSPECTRA UL Certified Reflector-Series 450W LED 100$ great reviews

It's probably a 200-watt device.
