What kind of bugs are these and what should I do?

Just noticed these pink bugs on one bud of my biggest Harlequin plant. I don’t see any damage from them and I can only find them on this one bud. Can’t see them anywhere else or on any of my other plants. These are outdoor plants about a week away from harvest.

Try to pick or shake them off.

They have totally infested this one bud. I don't think I can pick them all off very easily and if I try to shake them off, they will just fall on another part of the plant. I think my only option may be to cut this one bud off or let them be. How much damage do they do in a week?

013 mentioned vacuuming them. Unfortunately my vacuum cleaner took a shit last week so that won't work for me.

Ok low power vacuum.... run to kitchen & find a straw. Apologies dude couldn’t resist.

Do your best to remove, kill, eradicate Bonus points if you avoid poison since you are near harvest!

seriously don’t spray Neem maybe just blast with water but dont damage buds

What about bud rot if I blast with water? Unfortunately I just noticed them this evening and we are getting down to the mid 30's tonight so if I blast with water now they will stay wet all night until tomorrow. Harlequin is supposed to be highly susceptible to bud rot (and pests).

Yeah I won't use neem this late and I will never use poison.

So here is the bud that I found the aphids on. Should I just cut it off? Does look near ready to harvest?

Would it be ok to spray the plant off tomorrow? It's supposed to be sunny with high of 69.

Hey JaLo - My sympathies - I have been plagued by these little bastards from the beginning!!! If your triches are pretty much cloudy I would take that one now.
Here is my routine for bud washing - it is pretty aggressive but I tone it back if the branch is pretty clean.
Hose down with luke warm water
dip and leave submerged for about 5 minutes and drain
dip and leave submerged in baking soda/lemon juice mix, then hang to drain
then another hosing with luke warm water.
I have built a frame large enough for some large branches - on thee back of the frame I staple window screen then bowed out a little I put plastic - this sits in the sink standing up - it gives a good backer in the screen and water is stopped by the plastic.
I'm pretty sure I lose some triches - but - if you saw all the crap that washes out - I'll sacrifice some triches.
O, by the way - it is the peroxide mix that seems to really knock the aphids loose. I have made a sieve to collect all the carcasses - they float and cling together.
Good luck

+1 - aphids. Gotta spray them with soap and water then rinse with plain water. They make a mess. Get on it .... they asexually reproduce. The population goes up REAL fast indoors in warm conditions.

I use a product called EM-5 microbial wash. Kills them but the residue is there. You will have to bud wash after to wash them off your produce.

Edit: if you're outdoors spray off the plants with plain water with light spray not full blast. Water will get rid of most of them you can spray with soap and water too then hose down the plants. Outdoors much easier to get rid of them. Indoors is a pain in the ass. Cant hose down plants inside. Last time I had them I toook plants outside day of harvest and hosed them down after the soap spray killed them then bud washed.
