What kind of fan for a light hood?

I need to cool a 400W HID light for use in a small cabnet, and know i need about 180cfm, but what I don't know is what fans work and what the pros/cons of each type are.

I'm leaning towards an inline fan of some kind but i'm not sure what'll work, either a centrifigal fan or one of those "booster" fans which I've found rated at 180ish cfm. The booster fan I speak of is basically a stiff piece of ducting with a fan inside. If there is another type of fan that'd work I'm all ears.

So no to the booster style fan then. So are those cfm ratings for the booster fans to match them up with another fan?

And i've heard squrill cage fans are really loud.

You can get squirrel cage fans with rubber mounts that are much quieter and you can put them on a rheostat to regulate the speed. They don't have to run at full speed to be effective.

Hmm... sounds like it could work, I was told by the dude at the hydro store that they were ubor loud. I'm gonna have to go in there with like $200 cash and show him I have the money for whatever fan I decide on but that I won't buy them without first checking them out. Last I was in there he didn't wan't to plug any of them in, then again they just changed ownership.
