When to add bloom?

was talking to the guy at local hydro shop the other day and he mentioned that for the first 2 weeks of turning his lights down to 12/12 he continues to give his plants "grow" instead of "bloom". wondering if anyone else does this and if the results are worth it. i have always given my plants "bloom" as soon as lights are cut back but after hearing this i'm thinking that maybe i'm doing it wrong?

if you are referring to GH Flora nutes, they recommend a 1 week transition period and list ratios for the mix....heres a link for the nute calculator, hope thats what you meant :ganjamon:

GENERAL HYDROPONICS

Hogdady is right there is a transition period where you go from higher amounts of Gro and lower amounts of Bloom to Higher amounts of Bloom and lower amounts of Gro. Check out his link to the the calculator.General Hydro actually recommends using both Gro and Bloom for most of the grow including seedlings.
