when to pick seeds off male plant?

i have a male plant about 3 months old, now its starting to grow pods but how can i tell if theres anything in them? and when is the right time to pick them?

Those are pollen sacks, males do not produce seeds. Stick that guy next to a female if u want some seeds, or you can burst the sacks yourself into a shot glass and use a paint brush to spread the pollen onto the female.

Unless you're trying to grow seeds, you should kill him. There's no other real value from a male plant.

Males most definitely can grow seeds I just found about ten on a giant male purple godbud×purple budda I have.
One branch started growing female flowers and poof about ten perfectly formed but very small seeds.
