When to stop nutes

hi i know i stop with the nutes 2 weeks prior to harvest but how do i tell when this is, im growing northern lights which is an 8 week bud so do i just start 6 weeks ater 12/12 started?

The best way to tell when a plant is nearing harvest time is to watch the trichomes.

The breeders info regarding harvest dates is under ideal conditions and usually in a very fast finishing hydro grow. If you are growing in soil, it will take longer to finish.

That will work with certain strains and not others.

The truth is that there is no perfect method which works under all conditions. The best method seems to be to use a jewellers loupe and to check for the color of the trichomes.

With experience, you won't even need to check the trichomes... you can sense when the plant is ready. But for beginners, follow the advice in the thread posted above - you won't go wrong.
