A Whitefish resident who rented out property to a medical marijuana business has been sentenced to one year in prison.

Jonathan Janetski, 36, was sentenced in Missoula Monday in connection with his guilty plea to maintaining a drug-involved premises, although the landlord says he wasn't an employee of the business.

Janetski reportedly allowed two people to reside in his Kalispell building which was turned into a marijuana plant growing facility and during a raid in March law enforcement recovered more than 700 plants.

The investigation was conducted by Homeland Security Investigations and the Northwest Montana Drug Task Force.
