Windsor Medical Marijuana Dispensary Ordered To Close By Weld District Court Judge

Weld District Court Judge James Hartmann issued a written statement today ordering MediGrow medical marijuana dispensary to cease operating in the town of Windsor.

MediGrow owner Lazarus Pino has been operating his dispensary in violation of a moratorium against new dispensaries since January.

The town has been citing Pino fines of up to $300 per day since Jan. 17.

Violation of the court order could result in more fines and jail time.

Last week the Board of Adjustment and Appeals in Windsor upheld a condemnation notice given to Pino by the Windsor planning department.

Pino still has one more opportunity to argue his case in court in May when he goes before Municipal Court Judge Michael Manning to fight the constitutionality of the moratorium.
