Woman Busted For 'Cute' Pot Plant Tossed In The Trash

Jacqueline Moore, of Holiday, placed a 2-foot-tall marijuana plant on the curb outside her house with her other trash, reports ABC Action News in Tampa Bay.

A passing Pasco County Sheriff's deputy took notice.

Moore told deputies that she did not smoke marijuana and she is not a "druggie," according to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report.

Moore, 55, explained to the deputy that a neighbor had given her the plant a few months ago when it was a "baby plant," according to the report.

But the baby plant had grown too big lately, she said, and did not want to get in trouble for growing it, so she uprooted it and put it out with the trash, reports ABC Action New.

Why did Moore accept the plant from her neighbor?

Moore said she was only growing the plant because it was "cute," reports ABC Action News.

She was charged with a cute little crime: cultivation of marijuana.
