From here on we will look at a few pictures from the end of the process.

Here are some seeds from about 1/3 of the pollinated bud on our Green Crack... there are somewhere near 100 seeds so far while we wait for this bud to dry out. Emmie is pleased.

So instead of me always trying to explain this too people on social networks. I'm just going to give them a link to this thread. Or the people I help in and around the forums here on :420:. This is well spoken for the laymen/beginner individual(s) to understand. & shows how easy the process can be, if one just takes a bit of caution. Well done Emmie, defiantly +reps here, well said.

I am so happy to see that this thread has been helpful to some people. Here are some more pictures of seeded buds as they are finishing up.

An average for one of these buds is about 250 seeds. This one run has produced well over 1000 seeds of the different varieties. So what do I have? What are these seeds going to produce?

The seed banks gave me stable seeds of the 3 varieties I grew here. They produced these stable seeds by breeding their plants back to other stable parent strains over and over again, locking in the desired traits into a 95% reproducible seed line, so that 95% of the seeds we buy would produce pretty much the same exact plant.

I broke that stability apart with a sledgehammer, with a completely new variety in the DNA mix in the Tangerine Dream and Green Crack plants, but in the AK-47's, I have bred them back onto themselves. Each AK was different too, one was tall and one was short, so now these two sets of seeds are going to be kept separate to see if those traits follow these new seeds. The AK-47 stability has also been broken apart by creating these seeds, and although a majority of the plants will end up being just like their parents, now that the stability of the line has been compromised, any pheno from down the line, any trait from a grandparent or grand grand grand parent, could come out in these new seeds... they are no longer stable.

The situation is even more wild with the TD and GC lines now crossed with the entire genetics of the AK47 line... anything from the past is likely to pop out of these. There is a likelihood that the majority of the plants produced by these seeds will be true crosses of the two lines, but the phenotypes that are going to also result from these seeds are going to be very interesting, and except for cloning, probably non repeatable. Such is the problem/excitement of producing your own seeds.

I have one more posting for this thread before I wrap it up. I have the two AK47 seeded branches drying now, and soon I will clean them up and post how many seeds were produced in each.

Thanks for creating this post. It is very inspiring, I will be harvesting some Mr Nice Black Widow seeds here in a few months. Seems as though they are tough to find for sale.

Thanks again:bravo:

Each of the AK47 branches yielded about the same, between 175-250 viable seeds. This seed run was a total success and produced about 1000 seeds. These seeds will be carefully stored for future use by sealing them after drying for a month or so and then stored in the refrigerator. Several sets of these seeds will also be distributed among friends in case of rainy days.

Here were the branches after drying for a week:

and here is the pile of seeds that resulted from this mess. Please note that not all of the seeds were viable... the white pile on the left have been thrown in my ashtray, and the 200 brown seeds on the right have been added to the collection

So, this is the end of this thread. Thank you for following along, and I hope that this little adventure helps others wanting to do a seed run, without disturbing a current grow. Next time I will be a little more careful and will cover each pollinated branch with a baggie for a few days, until pollination has happened and I can neutralize the pollen with a spray bottle. Other than that, I am pretty happy with this run, and the few seeds that are being found in some of the buds around the tent are being considered a bonus.

What a great thread. Sorry I made it late. As with all the other men around you got my attention at almost naked LMAO. Twice the followers I got LOL. Pollinating my plants fully clothed might have had something to do with it. Being a man changes everything. If I had stripped down I wouldn't have got any followers LMAO.

I just did a breeding run with a Jacks Cleaner 2 male. As you mentioned it is really neat to see the hair whither up and the seed start to form. All aspects of growing are interesting. Breeding is another part of the whole picture.

i am lucky enough to have a couple grow rooms. one is small so i take the males and the lucky female to that room. i dont dab on the pollen since it is 30 feet from the main flower room and sealed off. i wait until the pollen sacs are literally breaking open. i then cut the males down and shake them over the female(s). you can visually see a cloud of pollen., i keep the female by itself for 4 weeks. the number of seeds per plant is amazing. i won't ask for help since i am a 68 year old male and keep my clothes on.

I have dabbled, but with limited success. Last year one of the big experiments was using silver bars to create my own colloidal silver spray... and let's just say that the experiment needs to be revisited. I ran out of grow season last year and couldn't try again. That might be something to work on again here in a couple of months though, when I have to cull the clones for the next run... one of those girls might get sprayed. :) Thanks for the reminder!
yes, very clever writeup: entertaining and informative. truly didn't know whether i was gettin hot, or horrified; shocking, how often the 2 arrive, hand in hand.
as to the silver- stadium thiosulfate works the same and was i- i dunno, maybe 15-30$ u.s.
nukeheads will sell it to you, for double, but their instructions r good. ;D . I'm hopin for godfather og male and ghost train haze male, to make b-porn with them, but so far- just the atf fired off. I'm pretty psyched, too. have yet to see a name for their bastage, but i was thinkin- holy ghost, if it isn't taken, already. atf can f all the skanks, far as I'm concerned. the harem has been burning my eyes, for months... and after i finish your thread, here... I'll know how. cept for the mirror, i was thinkin camel hairs, myself.
very clever.
... nasty stuff... obviously SHE doesn't believe in the bird of love. the whole time- I'm thinkin- man, was that gal fun to do blow, with... ohhh, to b young, again.

Yesterday, we had sex in the bloom tent.

Well, at least a few of my buds did...

One bud of each of my plants, now in flower for less than a week, has been chosen to be pollinated. I did not choose any of the 4 main tops, and tried to choose one of the first lower branches that now has reached up to canopy level. Using a small watercolor paint brush and my pollen/flour mix, I painted the pollen onto each of these buds, poking it fairly aggressively into the bud and trying to coat the pistils as much as possible, without having too much extra pollen flying around. The flour makes it mostly stick where I put it and this minimizes the danger of finding seeds all over the plant at harvest. The fans were all turned off for this process, but after a few hours they were all turned back on and I am sure that a little bit of random pollen/flour mix will cause a few random seeds in some of the other buds in this run, but mostly it will be just on these 4 branches. I have marked each of these branches by attaching a binder clip to each, so even if all the pollen ends up being hidden by the developing bud, I will know which branches are special.

At the end, I will most likely want my seeds to develop a week or two longer than the rest of the buds. I will harvest everything but these 4 branches and then will move these 4 plants out of the bloom tent to mature the seeds and make room for the next round. Right now we can not see any immediate change to the pistils on these 4 branches, but over the next several days we will keep watching them for signs of pollination, and if we don't see it, we will try again. I will also be trying to pollinate some of the lower buds on those branches too, but for now we were just trying to make sure that the top bud on that branch has been pollinated, with the confidence that each of these are capable of producing 20-50 seeds.

Be well everyone,
Emmie

Cross your fingers... we should see bent and darkening pistils soon...
genius! i was thinkin honey... so the gurlz would use it, or at worst, it might taste sweet.
far as maturity- i go 5% amber. yeah- foreplay guy (head, folks)- and the seeds from a fruity pebbles- princess og oops, turned out, fine; 50%, as "mother" says.
spitz- i know ur thinkin "nasty stuff", too. I'm interested in reading further, to learn about storage (longer term) & whether the rest of the ladies, saw any sloppy seconds? so to speak...

Hi Emilya, I know how important it is to document these things so next time you get the urge to strip down to panties and a sports bra, feel free to howler at me, and I will operate the camera for you so you can have 100% documentation. I only offer my services for the enrichment of science :cheesygrinsmiley:
always the giver! way to return the fav!
to science! "weird science"...

ok, here under MH light is a comparison of each of the 4 girls... first a normal bud, and then a pollinated bud. You decide. :)

i would've thought it- natural evolution. b interesting to see whether they sugar, less. I'm sure u got em. i didn't think to check, as mine were all violated. didn't occur to scrub the walls, as if Annabelle had bled out, with an std. wonder if it's the same 4 day plan, as the hep (reminds me of a midlife crisis month)? nothen else ever did "show"/get knocked up... IN SIN!
