Is an 50 ng/ml cutoff on an immunoassay test is equivalent to a 15-20 ng/ml cutoff on a GC/MS. Since Ng/Ml tests for 31 metabolites and GC/MS tests for 1 specific metabolites ?

That is my understanding, although I don't know the number of water soluble metabolites are 31. I think it's less and 31 is the total number of metabolites produced by the body, some of which go out the other way.



Old thread but it's a common question. The GS/MS tests exclusively for THC-COOH as far as I know.

Wish someone with medical authority could clearly answer this.
