Well if anyone has been wondering where I have been here what I have been doing for about two or three month I have been spending quite a few bucks building my this new HPA system. I broke down my tent grow and built this while I was in transition. My other journal got f*cked while I was on vacation to Chicago (plant sitter) and came back to a mess so pitched them in the trash, bought the strains I wanted.(G-13 Have, Royal Purple Kush, Super Critical and White Rhino.) The G-13 Haze is running in this tent setup and the others are going into my perpetual garage grow which, I will be starting the new journal for even though the mother plants I have already started flowering.

I built this from a ton of research and trial and error along the way. It is constructed of 6-Inch PVC pipe and 1/2" PVC for the drain. It is fed with 3/8" high pressure line. I have a filter as my intake, a filter just before the misters, and a filter on my drain back to the reservoir. I built it so that my reservoir is outside the tent to keep the temperature down. I decided to use a solenoid on each mister head so that if one fails I don't lose two misters only one. I also wired them up on a breaker panel with a breaker for each to both shutdown if needed and for protection should it burn out. Each mister head is accessible to service as needed and I put a shutoff on each so I don't have to shut the system down to do so. I just put the clones in from the cloner with pretty good roots but they need nutes now.

Here are some pictures I will have more to come!

And time for the new additions!
Four were ready so in they go. Two more should join them in a couple days.

Update will be coming soon. My root growth is amazing! Been putting on inches per day.

Re: Teldren's High Pressure Aeroponic System 6-Plant ScroG (DIY) - G13 Haze -Trial Ru

I am using the Cyco recommended schedule and PH. PH 6.0 for first two weeks then 5.5 for remainder. Temps get a hotter than I want (85ish) so I have been cracking window to allow cool air in during the day and got them to hold around 82. I am increasing nutrient PPM up to 800 or so and note any changes. I also found out this timer sucks balls. It is supposed to be adjustable from 1 minute to 8 hours but the lower end scale is bullshit. I can gt it set from 1 minute but then next lowest is 8 minutes. That doesn't work for me so I ordered the CAP version which looks much better. I need 4 minutes off and 6 seconds on. Should be arriving in the mail in next couple days.
Here are some pics.

Re: Teldren's High Pressure Aeroponic System 6-Plant ScroG (DIY) - G13 Haze -Trial Ru

The other two clones didn't make it due to my timer being eight minute cycle which is to long.(POS Timer!) So I decided to just go with the four I have for this run and work out any bugs that may come up in the setup. So far so good they are recovering from the cloneing I attempted. They took to long to root so I had to work on them bringing them back. I am also going to start work on the plans for a smaller, more compact 12 Volt version of this setup with a battery backup. I wont start the build though until I run this cycle for a full term.

Going to change out reservoir tomorrow and give a fresh nutrient for the start of week two. PH 6.0

Re: Teldren's High Pressure Aeroponic System 6-Plant ScroG (DIY) - G13 Haze -Trial Ru

Well I learned that the net pots will try to chop your roots on the edges of the PVC if not careful so I stole King Johns net pot strategy(Sorry John but yours is better...and thanks for the info man). I cut the lower section of the net pot out and ditched the stone. I have already noticed a drop in the root zone temperature which is good and I assume there will be less evaporation now to.

Veg Day 5 Roots. Neoprene Inserts, cut net pots and full root exposure.

Here is my other side project grow. I am going to start a journal for my perpetual garage grow next. I have the G13 Haze mother that I just moved to flower, Royal Purple Kush and Super Critical which have both been cloned. The RPK and SC mothers have been flipped to flower and just started week 3. I also popped two auto flowering plants while I was vegging the mothers to be cloned out. I popped one NYC Diesel and one AK-49. The NYC Diesel was just harvested and the AK-49 is a week or two away. Here are some pictures of my progression getting everything going again.
Here is the auto flowers.

Re: Teldren's - High Pressure Aeroponic System - 6-Plant DIY ScroG - G13 Haze - Trial

Sorry about lack of updates been really busy over the holidays with the family. So my repeating timer was a POS so I had to buy a more accurate to the minute timer. I had roots drying out and starting to die. Got a C.A.P. because I have never had any problems with there stuff and it was $30 cheaper. Live and learn I guess. Got new timer in week two and can tell the difference after just one day. They standing up straight and strong now. Here is my growth so far. Roots are growing insanely fast. I continue with a weekly flush and reservoir change according to the Cyco feeding schedule. PH at this point still 6.0 but after this flush it will drop to 5.5 and the third week gets the Cyco XL, which is a superphosphoric acid that they tell me super boost the veg when you give it for the third week.

Re: Teldren's High Pressure Aeroponic System 6-Plant ScroG (DIY) - G13 Haze -Trial Ru

On the start of the third week they got there flush and reservoir change out. This week PH drops to 5.5 and the nutrients get slightly increased. I added the Cyco XL and they responded well just like they said. I also topped all the plants the start of the week to promote lower branch growth. I am in process of building my ScroG screen and will get that into place. I am also planning on a defoil before I screen them to get light to lower branches. Usually I LST my plants before I scrog them but I need to figure out a good tie off system for my lines for this system so instead I am going to hang the Scrog so I can raise or lower it as needed and will use it to train the plants. The roots are now to long and growing together so i cant really take net pots all the way out. I also had to add another 4 inch fan to keep my heat down.

Re: Teldren's - High Pressure Aeroponic System - 6-Plant DIY ScroG - G13 Haze - Trial

Hey Teldren,
I got to say you have one serious HPA. I hate to ask how much it cost you.
What were you reasons for running so many solenoids?

I think you might want to rethink using 6-inch PVC tubing as a grow tube, it's too shallow for HPAs. You defeated your whole system with those tubes. The roots at the bottom are no long aeroponic but hydroponic.

I'm running a high-pressure aeroponics system with a 16" deep grow chamber. See my roots below. I feel I got you beat. Like you say, the root growth is crazy.

I don't want to hurt your feelings, however I built my HPA system for around $450. It's running in my living room and is virtually leak proof, quiet, and fault-tolerant. I've been working on it for over 6 years and have perfected many of the components just by using off the shelf components.

Like, I have been in the dark working on my system and I'm ready to release it to the world soon. Let me know what you think about it.

I plan to take indoor gardens around the world into the future.

Hello Applefarm!

Can you please also create a Grow Journal and chronicle your High Pressure Aeroponic system information on 420 Magazine as well?
