Does Light Affect Auto Plants During Flowering Nightime Hours?

So it kind of dawned on me that I sometimes open my tent with flowering plants inside to check temps. Ive read that you ideally Want complete darkness during lights-off hours for Photo Plants. So does the same principle apply to Auto Strains as Well?

Seeing as they can flower under 24 hour light, I wouldn't imagine it would do too much harm. It is a good idea to just avoid disturbing plants during darkness. I know it is tempting.
