Anyone else having slow loading images since the changes a few days ago?

Hey 420 Members and staff.

I'm trying to figure out if this issue is with my browser or the 420 magazine site.

The issue:
Ever since the changes with the like button and the addition of the "thanks" button, I have noticed that images are loading very slow on my browser and I can't figure out how to make it work normally. I will load a thread, usually a grow journal, and the text will load fine, like normal, but the photos load extremely slow, almost like back in the day slow internet connections would do. Sometimes the images don't load at all which I can't figure out why. I have a 100/20 internet connection so speed is not the issue, and use Firefox (latest version).

I can't seem to figure out why all of a sudden this is acting this way, and I wanted to know if any other firefox users were having similar issues since the update to the site. I'm trying to determine if it is a site issue, or a browser issue, or something to do with my web scanner on Avast virus program that I use, but it only happens on this site, and no other internet sites or forums.

Anyone else noticing a lag when loading photos?

I've tried clearing my cache, turning off my virus scanner and still the same issue. I haven't tried a different browser yet which will be my next step. If others are having this issue then I know its not my computer and its the site or servers or something, but if its only me then its an issue somewhere either with my browser, web scanning virus software or ?? My Java, flash and all plugins are updated to the latest version as well as firefox.

Here is some added info:

420 Magazine works fine on my Tor Browser (which usually is slower because of the routing around the world)
420 Magazine doesn't load photos fast on firefox or IE?

I don't know what is causing this issue, but when I loaded IE, there was a popup that said "load all content" vs "load protected content" when I chose load protected which was the default, most of the photos loaded fine, like normal, but the thread was also missing photos. When I chose "load all content" the page loaded fast, but all images loaded very slow...

Anyone have a clue what is causing photos to lag?

I think I may have found the issue...

The 420 Magazine site loads as a secure site (https) where photos/images are loaded as (http) or not secure. When a page pulls up both secure and non secure content my browser is stopping the non secure content from loading for some reason. This can be verified by looking at the image url which comes from a (http) and not a (https).

Now my question, was 420 magazine always like this, or should images be loading under https?

Anyone know of a solution?
