Going to get a blackout tent for growing

What's up guys. I'm looking to buy a tent to start a new grow setup but needs some advice on what to look for as I've never bought one before and don't know what to look for. This is my current set up

pretty much just a wood box with a door and roof on it. But the light escapes and is very obvious to people that don't need to know what I'm doing and the inside isn't reflective which wastes the light I'm using and the humidifier dosent do any good because outside air can mix with it and gives unsteady reading me due to space in between the planks of wood

Hey guys so as I came home on Friday this is what I found. The most bottom fan

leaf was withering away so I cut it off. Also the leaf just above it doesn't exactly look on par so I imagine that it'll be the same thing. I still have yet to water it as i want it to fully recover before I water again. The top node I cut is coming in good

actually stoked cause it's the first time I've tried this practice of trimming. So I'm excited to cut it once it grows back to see what the next node would look like. Also I've noticed once I took the camera and zoomed in on the stem it's self that I have little extra leafs growing from the stem. Would you guys happen to know if this means that it's a female? Also the plant is only 3 inches tall from soil to top of the highest fan leaf that's re growing and it sprouted on 420 do you think I should ditch this grow and start over with seeds in getting from mail?

Do you plan to have a tent the same size?
I bought mine over ebay, its 2'x2'. Its a no-name brand, but its very good.
Nothing much to say,I'm pretty sure any tent that size would be great for you.

There's no light leak, and its very easy to get a negative pressure.

Here's some pix from my last grow.

Wow ok thanks pics help a lot im also thinking about getting an air scrubber. I'm not to sure about what they do would you be able to briefly describe what there used for? I know along the lines of masking the smell, however do they have anything to do with cooling the tent off? I almost feel like I have a bit to much heat in my bad at the moment( your opinion would be appreciated about this subject)

I used to have a steam humidifier but it was way to hot so now I use a cool mist humidifier

the blue and white thing on the bottom. If it gets to hit would adding a bigger fan mean a cooler setup?

Do you have an exhaust fan?

Yeah the scrubber is a most for the odor, in bloom you wont believe how it smell!
I bought mine on ebay, its around 100$ for a 6", there's some 4" too.

No I don't have an exhaust fan I was thinking about getting a tower fan for air circulation and I think I'll get the scrubber a couple weeks before I go to flower. Right now I'm looking and changing the lighting system I have. What type of lights are you running?

You should get an exhaust fan, that first thing you should get. Then the scrubber attached to it.
Replacing the air inside the tent is very important.

My light is a Mars-Hydro Mars II Pro 80, its great for a little tent. :thumb:

So guys I'm back with an update

this is how she looks as of this morning

6 in tall starting to think that she'll be a bushy plant. Or a vary tall one I also trimmed the leafs on the bottom for airation and the leafs were staring to sag a little

I'm not sure what this problem is prob but burn I used exactly what it said on fox farm nut bottles I know you should feed it half strength for a little to see how it does but I thought I could take it. Any ways I'll just feed it plain water for now. Also the soil last time I check it said 4.8 then watered it a week later and it said 5.1 and then today it said 5.0 so when I water should I keep using ph of 6.5 or use non ph water that is about 7.3

Your ph is WAY TO LOW!! Get it up to 6.3 at least

Thanks for the advice other then just watering with ph6.3 how else do I get it up or is it ok to throw some pH in my water to make it about an 8 (the majority of my tap is 7.3)

Nooooo
Soil grow water PH should be between 6.2-6.8!

You should maintain correct PH, since some nutes change it drastically.
BTW: Unless it the picture, your light is way to close....Maybe 18-24 inches is better at this stage..JMHO

Ok yeah thanks I moved the light to about 12 in away from the top of the canopy also I've noticed that some of the fan leaves at the end are getting a script brown and the stems are turning a little purple

I also think that I stead of waiting for this plant to keep getting bigger who seems like eternity that over the week. So I'll give it 36 hours of darkness and flush it and then switch it to 12 -12 still debating on wheather or not I want to keep the light on at night or on during the day
