Essential oils and masking.

Hey. Anyone know what essential oils best mask the odor?
I have a diffuser and I need to do something asap.
Household members are starting to query. I cant
image what it will be like when it starts to bud.
I may have to ditch this gro until I'm better prepared.

I have one pl@nt in a 16x16x9 room. Six weeks old.
Its sitting right next to an AC vent with a 24/7
fan. My folks know I'm into essential oils so
that wont be a surprise. The diffuser is a fog
type that sits in front of the fan and blows
on it.

OH, will certain oils hurt them? I know most
oils are anti-microbial, bacterial, and fungal
so that should be a good thing, yes?

Thanks for your thoughts! :yummy:

Heyy bro.. I would be weary about burning anythin in my grow room.. but that's me always thinking safety first, ya know..

Perhaps you should look into a carbon filter/scrubber. Neutralizes smells.

You can google/youtube plenty DIY carbon filters/scrubbers :rollit:

Actually the essential oil neutralizers don't burn anything.
They use a small air pump and create a very fine mist of
the oil into the air. The burning of incense is nasty in my
opinion and are actually toxic along with certain candles.

Will investigate carbon filtering. Thanks for replying and
the welcome.

haha.. i went and read it and it does say in ur post its through a fog diffuser.
whoa! i totally musta not seen it..

well then, if they already kno you are into that, then use one of the scents that they are familiar with (i.e. your favorite one that you always burn).. even if it may not last into flowering and harvesting as the smell intensifies, it will surely be a cost effective way to deal with the odor for the time being seeing as its stuff you already have in possession..

so try it and if you see a difference in your plants thats negative you'll know. im sure our lovely lady wont hesitate to show her disinterest in your essential oil should that occur...

if it works, then you found a solution, if not then maybe you could look into some scrubbers/odor blockers :rollit:

goooood luck :ganjamon:

Yea Febreze. its a very good fabric refresher sold the states. Used to make colthes smell fresh out the laundry.
I figure being that your using scented fog anyway, it wouldn't be a big deal to give it a spray, maybe you should stack your clean laundry next to your door too.
the Ozium air sanitizer is better how, but its mostly sold at gas station for car use. get the outdoor scent

sorry but fabreze wont mask a grow... unless you spray half the bottle every day. lol

maybe after smoking a small bowl. haha

lol thats what i was thinking but i didnt wanna say cause i didnt kno for sure lol

I strongly discourage growing in a residence that you aren't the head of household of.

Otherwise I would caution against anything that puts a mist/fog/whatever of any "oil" anywhere near plants as it would tend to coat their stomata over time.

I believe this is good advice, and as of today, my little 2
foot tall, very bushy dark green beauty was disposed of.
Have no fear, its in good hands. A good friend of mine is
much more experienced than me at gorilla growing, and
has agreed to give it an outdoor home. He says if it's a
girl I can visit her though the process and he will split
the rewards. I just wasnt prepared enough and the
biggest mistake I made was underestimating the
odor these things put off.

Thanks for the advice! Putting the household at risk
was not a smart thing.
