Every good Italian dish calls for a sauce worth bragging about. Quality over quantity is always the mantra, and using time and superior ingredients to your advantage can help you make the perfect scrumptious sauce from scratch.

Incorporating a little cannabis in the kitchen has become increasingly popular over the last decade as advancements have been made on the medical and legislative fronts, changing the way the herb is perceived. With the obvious health benefits outweighing the outdated and ignorant stereotypes, it's time to at least consider incorporating the magical healing flower into one's diet and lifestyle, if local laws permit and one is so inclined.

Garlic is your friend

Garlic is just one of the ingredients in the sauce that is not only a must-have for flavor, but also to keep your immune system on its toes. This cousin of the onion has been used medicinally for centuries, dating back to the ancient civilizations of the Egyptians, Babylonians, Greeks, Romans, and Chinese.

Garlic is highly nutritious and capable of boosting one's immune system to kick symptoms of infections like flu and the common cold. According to Authority Nutrition, blood pressure can be reduced and cholesterol levels improved by introducing garlic regularly into your diet. Couple those benefits with a strain of cannabis that works for you and your lifestyle, and this sauce will be packed with not only flavor, but also properties that help your body stay happy and healthy.

Don't wait any longer! Follow the simple step-by-step recipe below to turn your next marinara sauce into one that will make you say "Mama Mia!"
