Cannabis and Sexuality

One of the oldest uses of cannabis has been linked with fertility rites. In the ancient past, the use of cannabis, would entice men and women to engage in sexual behaviours. Generally lead by shamans, fertility rites would reenact, either actually or symbolically, sexual acts and/or reproductive processes. Cannabis was seen as a powerful aphrodisiac, and a way for lovers to become not only physically linked, but also spiritually intertwined.

The use of cannabis is prevalent in many different cultures, and often used as a sexual aid. From arousal, to sexual activity, to sex related problems and even sexually transmitted diseases, hemp is the preferred solution.

Benefits of Cannabis use for sex:

* Increased ability to communicate sexually with partner

* Increased sexual stamina

* Increased Sexual skill

* Increase tactile sensation

* Increased length and power of orgasms

* Increased attention to technical aspects of love making

* Increased attention to foreplay

* Emotional bonding between partners

Cultural Cannabis Use

In India, cannabis has been employed as therapeutic agent by the Ayurveda [derived from Sanskrit words 'Ayu' meaning 'life' and 'Veda' meaning 'knowledge of'; or ‘Knowledge of Life’] and Unani Tibbi [Unani in Arabic, Hindustani, Persian, Pashtu, means ‘Greek’; Tibb(i) means Nature, and can be seen as a separate form of medicine from Unani] systems of medicine for over ten centuries. Both systems make extensive use of hemp to increase libido, conquer impotence, produce long-lasting erections, delay ejaculation, facilitate lubrication, loosened inhibitions and cure various diseases.

The Karma Sutra is one of the best known books on the art and skills of sex and love ever written. The Karma Sutra is from the Hindu-Buddhist tradition known as Tantra, a religion which prescribes physical and mental exercises such as meditation and yoga, to help the practitioner to leave their physical bodies and achieve enlightenment. Rituals utilizing hemp have been a component of Tantra dating back to at least 700AD. Initially the Tantric celebrants would fast for at least 24 hours, than ingest bhang [James Bong's Ultimate Spyguide to Marijuana contains the recipe]. Exercises followed, and facilitated the power and onset of intoxication. As intoxication became pronounced, a meditative state would be induced, with chants to praise the Goddess Kali [The Divine Mother, Consort of Shiva{destroyer of illusion}, conquer and destroyer of the bonds of the individual ego]. The men would than wash their partners with water, comb their hair, perfumed them, and place them on silk bed. The men would than engage in ritual touching, starting with the woman’s forehead, than her eyes, nostrils, mouth, arms, thighs, and finally the vagina and oral sex on the woman would commence, and after time positions would change and pleasure was given by the woman to the man, and various sexual positions would be practiced. Both women and men used meditation and breathing exercises to prolong the sexual union, to achieve ‘endless total body orgasms’. It has been suggested that these rituals would last for eight or more hours.

In modern western cultures, the use of cannabis is often linked to the problems of sexuality. The use of cannabis by teenagers can create the environment where by they are willing to experiment with sexual behaviour which can lead to unwanted pregnancy, or sexually transmitted diseases. Unfortunately, these problems are often caused, not by cannabis, but by western society’s determination to demonize hemp. When children realize that their most trusted sources of information, such as their parents, their school, or even the government has been lying to them, they tend to react in ways which are counter to the message they have been taught. For parents and governments to turn back to the plant, to give it blame for their own actions, is truly despicable. Once society becomes more open to hemp, they will find that the problems they once associated with it, to dissipate.

The magic of THC

Estrogens are a well known group of steroid compounds that functions as the primary female sex hormone. Progesterone is part of this group, and is a steroid hormone that is secreted by the corpus leteum of the ovary and by the placenta, and regulates female reproductive functions together with estrogen. Progesterone also works to increase the willingness and frequency of copulatory activity (sex). A component of science not always recognized is called Constitutional isomers, which is when two compounds that have the same chemical formula, but different connectivity of atoms. This is very important because ones body may not tell the difference between two totally different chemicals. This is the case for THC, and Progesterone, who both are C21H30O2 (carbon 21; hydrogen 30; Oxygen 2). Tetrahydrocannabinol has the ability to work on neurochemical substrates normally activated by progesterone and may also work via cell-signalling cascades that activate progesterone receptors. In essences, THC has the ability to mimic progesterone in women to increase libido. When female rats are given THC they become much more receptive to the sexual attentions of males

Progesterone, in males, will actually convert to testosterone when needed, as progesterone is a precursor to testosterone. Progesterone can also help to eliminate estrogen in men, and can protect men from diseases, such as diseases associated with the prostate. In this manner, THC could theoretically increase the levels of testosterone, by simulating progesterone in the body, thus increasing a man’s libido.

So as you can see THC is truly magical, as it has the ability to increase the libido of both men and women. And if that was not fantastic enough, because progesterone is an anabolic hormone, it will help burn fat for energy, and so THC when in the human body will encourage the conversion of fat to energy. Though, of course the amount of fat which is burned will depend on the amount of physical activity the users actually partake in.

Cannabis Birth

Cannabis has been used to help pregnant women for thousands of years. Cannabis has many benefits to women who must endure the stress of labour.

‘Morning Sickness’ is common with pregnancies, though can become increasingly disabling, and cannabis is well known for its anti-nausea and appetite stimulating properties. Increasing food consumption is very important, especially today when mothers are reluctant to eat due to social stereotypes of fat, as it will provide greater health for mother and fetus through all stages of the pregnancy.

Pregnancy can cause an imbalance in hormones of some women, which can cause them to become highly emotional. Cannabis is known to assist in helping women become more hormonally balanced and can help women to internally focus on their health. Improved tactile sensations can help a mother to be more in tune with the rhythms of the fetus.

"Cannabis is also a great help to the expectant couple, to keep them bonded and lighten some moments that might otherwise be stressful and strain their relationship. I suggest that if they are drifting into an argument, tired, or cranky with aching muscles: just have a few puffs together, rub each other out (body massage) get some yummy aromatherapy going, have some good sex, then a good night's sleep. Everyone will feel better in the morning, guaranteed."
Dr Kate

Pregnancy and Pot

Pregnancy is known for great physical discomfort, and cannabis performs well as an anti-inflammatory and analgesic agent, and also to reduce the characteristic stress of pregnancy, by relaxing uterine contractions.

Cannabis Children

The “Prenatal Marijuana Exposure and Neonatal Outcomes in Jamaica: An Ethnographic Study” concluded that the children of prenatal marijuana users had significantly higher test scores of non-associative learning with auditory and tactile stimulation, a higher alertness, a greater ease in receiving comfort, and had fewer startles and tremors than typical babies following the first week of birth. After thirty days, babies had higher quality of alertness, more robust voluntary and involuntary reflex systems, less irritable and better organizational skills than children born of non marijuana using mothers. Longer term studies have shown there is no consistent evidence of any significant differences in the development of prenatal exposure to cannabis, against those who are not exposed. It can be determined that cannabis exposure is likely more benefit to children, than a hindrance.

Sexy Summary

Cannabis has been known for thousands of years as an aid to sex, and to help partners become more “in tune” with their loved ones. Cannabis can be a great benefit to the development of a lasting meaningful relationship, and can allow for the raising of children who are normal, or above average in their development. To raise children in an environment of love and fellowship, can raise children that excel in life.

Of course, everything in moderation and results will vary, but with cannabis as your aid, you may find, as others before you have found, that cannabis is truly a gift from the Gods.

It doesn't surprise me in the least :) Marijuana does help sexuality a ton.

I'm shocked that this site even allows sex to be mentioned. Perhaps it's more liberal than I thought. What about if children should read it?
I'm waiting for a thread on taxing it.

This site is for adults. Children really shouldn't be here unless their legal guardian sits with them to help properly educate the children (Iwould think). For the liberal activist this site can be an extraordinary resource to help educate children. It depends upon ur beliefs and lifestyle IMO. Chancedebris, if it makes u feel any better members under 18 year of age are prohibited.

What strains do all of this?
I very seriously doubt this. If this were the case I'd have cornered the market by now as much as I hear people complain about their partners,lol.

Guess I'm in the minority here - I'd rather save it for post-coitus.
