Hi everyone.

Would appreciate any advice on this please? fortunate enough to have the opportunity to make my own oil (well with help from a friend) and a sticking point at the moment is the solvent to use? as when researched they all seem very flammable/danagerous. Any one know the safest to use for this purpose?

Re: solvents to use when making your own cannibas oil

I have seen someone make oil by placing popcorn buds and sugar leaf into a sealable jar, adding VG (Vegetable Glycerine) and sealing the jar until the VG has absorbed the THC (Gradually adding more VG as needed) and left to soak for a month. Then squeeze everything through a cheese cloth which just leaves the juice. I think this method Is mainly for Vaping, but I guess it negates the need to use solvents but the process is a lot longer.

I use coconut oil which work really great! :)
Here's the recipe I use.

There is plenty of new botanical extractors on the market today. the pros use them as batch testers.
Shop around if your in the market.
