Here's a flawless nutrient regimen for coco. Absolutely idiot proof.

Buy:
*Good coco. 5.5kg bricks by Coco-Tek by GenHydro is A+, Botanicare bricks are great, too.

*GenHydro Flora Series, Micro & Bloom ONLY

*GH CaliMagic (cal/mg)

*GH Kool Bloom powder

1. Presoak coco. 6.5 gallons per 5.5kg brick
PH @ 6.0-6.2 (!!)
Recipe:
6ml Micro/gallon
9ml Bloom/gallon
4ml/gallon CaliMagic

Based on a 9 week flower cycle:
PH ALWAYS AT 6.0-6.2
FEED 1x/day, EVERY DAY

Nutrients:

Week 1-4:
6ml Micro/gallon
9ml Bloom/gallon
4ml/gallon CaliMagic
(EC 1.2, ppm 840)

Week 5:
6ml Micro/gallon
9ml Bloom/gallon
1tsp./gallon KB powder
(EC 1.3, ppm 930)

Week 6:
6ml Micro/gallon
9ml Bloom/gallon
(EC 1.1, ppm 770)

Week 7:
6ml Micro/gallon
9ml Bloom/gallon
1tsp./gallon KB powder
(EC 1.3, ppm 900)

Week 8:
9ml Bloom/gallon ONLY (pre-flush)
EC .8, ppm 560

Week 9:
FLUSH, 6.0ph water @ < 100ppm

I found 6/9 a little strong, especially for multi waterings. If your only feeding once a day, you are treating like soil, so multi watering are required. I prefer a 4/6, and at the end of the grow taper down to 2/3 prior to flush. Just what I like. Remember to keep the Cal/Magic up throughout the grow.

Why Koolbloom powder vs liquid? Other than cost, is there any reason it is superior? I read about issues with it fully dissolving. Running an auto system with precipitate doesn't sound fun at all.

It's not just cost, my friend. Dry 2-45-28 and liquid is 0-10-10. Note I've never encountered dissolution issues.

Powder earlier in flower, liquid later in flower. Adding nitrogen late in flower can reduce flower production. And you can always dissolve powder in hot water before adding to nutrients, though dissolving KB powder has never been an issue that I'm aware of.

Powder is "for the last x weeks" if you're growing vegetables. With pot, you reverse, & use the 0-10-10 liquid late, powder early. Your hydro guy read the label, but in regards to weed, the label is wrong. Practical experience + knowing not to add N late in flower = better results.

He don't use the powder at all, only liquid. But as I was saying he doubles up on the liquid last few weeks. No N at all except what's in ur other nutes. I was going to buy the powder but he told me not to an just stick with the liquid. I did not however realize why he does it this way till u pointed it out :)

Hi Guys, Thanks for this as it is what I need, being new to growing.

My question is, when you say "Based on a 9 week flower cycle:" do you mean including the veg time or just 9 weeks of flowering?

And, what would the recipe be for veg time if not included?

Thank you:)
