Well i finally got around to doing an auto grow journal & has been on the cards for quite some time... ye done some research on this strain which i found quite a few other journals & helped to make my mind up, plus i like the taste of afgani/kush x skunk hybrids really ticked the right box for me :Namaste:

Lights - 125w 6500k cfl for germination/veg, 400w hps for flowering.

Not sure how i'm going to work this just yet for an auto grow, i'll see how it go's.

Soil - Peat/coir pucks for germinating seeds, Biobizz AllMix for the rest of the grow with 6.5 liter air pots.

Nutrients - Hesi aiming to use root complex, bloom, supervit, boost, P/K & bud link (silica) very unlikely to use veg/grow stuff.

Relative Humidity - Well i'm not bothered for germination/veg most of the time it sits around 60% but in flowering i will use a dehumidifier to help control RH to around 50% give or take 5%... ye i live in damp part of world & it is winter here which spikes ambient RH values !

Well that is the basic's covered, i'll see what sprouts in the next few to several days :thumb:

Subbed my friend. Great seeing journals a coming from you regular now!:)

Cheers LA for popping in & saying hello.

I don't grow full time these days only 2 or 3 per year depending on yield, i must admit there has been a couple of grows i did not keep journals of aka Northern Lights, Master Kush & a well topped/monster Chrystal plus a mini SoG experiment all be Nirvana.

Regular journals only when i'm doing some thing new to share with every body :thumb:

I've selected a strain by Bomb seeds - Berry Bomb which the breeder suggest is ideal for scrogging, i believe which would be suitable for a flux grow also, perhaps i'll even revisit a mini SoG at some point !

2016 should be an interesting year & may roll over into the next.

May move over to NFT at some point once i make up my mind, but a more hydroponic water based system is on the cards once i figure some minor stuff out.

Not sure about any real training with the fast & vast autos but depends on how many germinate & space needed ? more likely will do some LST - low stress training at some point which appears the most practical form of training with auto's to me at present.

The strain looks like it produces a main cola with several lower branches from what other journals i've viewed & may make it slightly bushy but then again one must think about phenotype occurrence which could of course change matters.

The LST would be applied to the lower branches to pull them away from the main stem around the start of flowering, i just find this helps fatten up the lower bud sites for plants which grow like this...

Ultimately it is growth characteristics which govern the best training method as every strain responds in a different way in my own experience :thumb:

Fuzzy I couldn't have put the waiting to let the plant tell you how to treat it bit any better myself :)

As it is you LA, i could not really pass on the comment myself & knowing you... ye the 2nd current journal down from the top just caught my eye :thumb:

Mmm may need a little bit of my attention to see what ya up to & should not be over looked !

Lol fuzzy that journal never really got where it was supposed to! Going away to Cannafest hurt my girls, as did them being a mix of 710 genetics and HSO autos! Neither are suited to training. I even explained to Ryan from HSO that they had some work to do lol, strange basically sat telling this huge name and a backer of mine what I thought!!. They're autos carry traits from the photo strains they have. So good internodal distance in the beginning which suits some photo strains is god awful in autos wasting big vert with no point in my eye!
Then 710 have just wrote themselves out of my garden! They just rushed to market and didn't get stuff stable! So hence me catching Dutch Passion in Prague! I used them way back and could train 10 out of their autos way back. So now I'm thoroughly DP for auto fun and the ability to train em up! Then HSO for photo monsters! I love their photo strains! :)

5/5 germination ratio & pretty good in my books but i can only keep 4 with my 90cm by 90cm by 180cm tent at present !

In hind sight i knew i should of got a bigger tent ordered well before December as this month is a tad slow in delivery ho hum...

I'm thinking of a green qube W - 120cm, D - 120cm, H - 220cm it is their mk II version & with a little bit of extra height goes a long way with me... perhaps i'll move over to 600w hps air cooled hood but looking at LED mainly Bud master as i like em lots.

Pic's up soon :thumb:

Just a tad over one week since seeds where put into the pucks & on average it took about 5 days for germination with 5 out of 5 i'm happy with that !

I was quite impressed with the tap roots sticking out side of the pucks also at this stage of growth !

So i potted up into what i use as a standard method for a long time now these girls should be in the pots for a couple of weeks at best, yup gone straight into BioBizz alll mix & a light dosage of nutrients was used 2.5 ml of root complex / 1 ml of bud link (silica) 1 liter of water which is not PH corrected.

They just sitting in a plant saucer/dish full off it whilst i type this up soaking the good stuff up & should be good enough for a week before i add more juice.

Currently running 16/8 for vegging/germination at the mo, not over sure when i'll adjust light timing tho but may be a few weeks yet :thumb:

End of week 1

It has been 2 weeks since seeds where sown & i don't really count the germination part, what is few days in terms of growing ?

So far so good & enjoying it !

PICT000176.JPG

Nutrients used so far, it is just once a week thing at the moment.

I'm happy :thumb:

End of week 2.

Every thing is looking fine & the girls are about several inches tall.

Time to pot up, ye i know some people don't like doing this with autos for some reason ? but timing is essential & that they will still grow into the final pot size well enough in theory...

Some root porn, Mmm pretty good ah !

Back into the trusty ye old 6.5 liter air pots... i've grown a lot of plants in these.

PICT000758.JPG

Gonna leave em under the 6500k, 125w CFL for another week or 2 to let em settle in, i'll see how it go's tho... all watered in with root complex & bud link (silica)

On closer inspection i noticed some early pre flowers going to need a good eye for this :thumb:

PICT000952.JPG

So far so good, i didn't expect to see pre flowers at the end of week 2 perhaps they just like the conditions ? any way i'm not going to take that as a true sign of flowering as it is only the Pre stage at present & suspecting another 2 to 3 weeks yet of so called auto veg ?

More likely going to adjust flowering timing to 14/10 in the next couple of weeks as i'm working on ambient natural day light hours which ruderalis comes from & dominate genetics crossed with mainly indica... i'll see what happens or where research guides me !

wow,, seen alot of nice babies,, usually not uncommon to see healthy babies,, but these are the healthiest i think ive seen,, and that does look like a pistil! tops! keep it up bro

I'll let the pic's do the talking.

More likely going to get em in the flower tent in the next day or so (400w hps) & will have to think about adding bloom nutrients etc soon.
