the room is still in shambles as i wait for the new 1000 watt hps light to arrive. it should here in a few more days. i already have 2x 400 watt hps lights for the party which will give us a total of 1800 watts hps for 6 beautiful OG kush plants that i have already grown in the past and they turned out... well knockout.

the grow area i am using is pretty much limitless but i will be building some walls to make an area which will be 8 feet high, 4-5 feet wide and around 7-8 feet long.

i will keep the 6 clones in 1 gallon buckets for about 2-3 weeks and then move them to their final home which will be 6x 5 gallon buckets. i plan to then put up my scrog net and just bush these babies until it looks like the amazon after which i am aimed for hopefully 1600 grams. i try not to count my chickens before they hatch but if all goes to plan it should be good.

updates still to come.

Hey there Botani, mind if I pull up a chair. I love me some hydro grows. I also grow in hydro (RDWC).

Whats the scoop on your hydro set up. Water pump, air, nutrients, etc.

hey everyone!! sure i would love it if you all follow along. sorry for the slight delay i have been really busy getting things prepped and sorted etc.

to get myself and anyone following my current grow up to speed im going to just add in some more detailed info that i have been to busy to do so lately.
yesterday my 1000 watt hps ballast and lights and metal halide bulbs arrived so i am currently in the process of getting things hung up and some boards situated for the future scrog net i will be using for this grow.

Strain - OG Kush

Grow Room - 8 feet long x 4 feet wide x 8 high

Lighting - 1st 2 weeks in 1 gallon buckets will be using t5 flourscent tubes. then i have a 1000 watt metal halide lighting system with a 50% 75% and 100% dimming switch. once they are full throttle in the veg stage i will be also turning on my 2x - 400w hps lights for the little extra yum. during flowering i will swap out the 1000w mh for the 1000w hps and that will be along side the other 2x - 400w hps giving us a total of 1800 watts of hps power.

Medium and Nutrient Zone - Clones were done in rockwool and once rooted were place in 1 gallon beef buckets for the 1st 2-3 weeks and then will be swapped over to 5 gallon buckets.

Nutrient Line Up - I love to use Dutch Nutrient Formula A and B Gro and then A and B Bloom. During veg i will be using only A and B Gro and every 2nd feeding i will use a couple of ML of florakleen to give them a good flush. During Bloom phase i will be using the A and B bloom every week and in addition to DNF A and B bloom from flowering week 1 through 6 i will be using some Bud Candy. Weeks 3 through 6 i add in some Nirvana. And finally the last 2 weeks of bloom phase i will also add in some overdrive nutes.

Air / Bubbles / Fans - I will using 6 air pumps each pump has 2 nozzles. so each 5 gallon bucket will have 2 air stones. 1 pump per bucket, Each pump is rated for a maximum of 60 gph will i believe is way more than needed. But hey you can never over do oxygen. I will have several basic house fans located around the grow room. i will have them situated in places to kinda rotate the air and push it and the heat out of the room.

my room is about 50% complete now. i have some shelving to hold my 2x - 400 watt ballasts put up. the lights are hung. and the framing is complete. all is left is to finish bracing everything. put up all of my mylar and get my light timers setup with some power bars and extension cords. when that is done its just a matter of getting the clones moved from their 1 gallon buckets to the 5 gallon buckets and setting up the scrog net and fans.

well that will be it for me for the night. i had a long day. stay tune for more updates.

here is a little teasing of this clones momma from my previous grow. now remember what you are about to see was done only under 2x - 400 watt light and my nutrients were running low so i was barely getting 600-800 ppm of feeding. so here is a little teasing of whats to come.

***Late Note*** on august 14 i cleaned out / rinsed and feed 100ml a and b. got around 900 ppm and exactly 5.8 ph. water temp is around 19 degrees celcius. this will be their last week in the 1 gallon buckets.

Today august 17 my new sump pumps arrived so i will begin to setup the 5 gallon buckets and finish the grow room. the clones will be heading to their final home on august 21st.

some pics of my buckets, hoses. sump pumps for weekly drainage, and how my buckets will be topped up with nutrients each week. i will have everything pretty much automated drainage wise. and for refilling i have a great system in place with everyday items just a funnel and regular garden hose.

today i also put down some thin rubber mats for insulation and then i covered it with mylar for great reflection. i also added all 6 of my dual air pumps and got them ready for next week.

and then i put back my clones in their 1 gallon buckets for the next few days

now that the grow room is basically completed its time to sit back and enjoy them while they are still young :D

-additional note for the walls. all i did was take some basic panel board and covered it in mylar so that i can take them up and down as needed to get in the sides / back for scrogging.

and then the front wall

hi, yea i looked everywhere for black buckets in my little town but i couldnt get my hands on any. so what im planning on doing is using that black foamy material that i used on the floors and will be covering the buckets with it. then i will use some mylar to put around that to keep the heat off.

popping in for a little update. the clones were put into their final home (5 gallon buckets) on august 22nd. everything was cleaned etc.. and they were feed 100ml a and b and i also added some hydroguard to the mix. i find this stuff works miracles and can be live saving at times from past experiences.

a few pics of the final destination.

Just stopping by for another update with some pictures of the progress. Yesterday September 6 i drained and feed and everything is looking great. While i been away, i been doing alot of LST preparation for the scrog net and this also is going really well.

Today i will be stopping the LST because i think we have enough bush to produce mass amounts versus our available space. I was going to go ahead and scrog but because the LST tie down went great i will just be using the net as a support frame.

Stay Tune for more.
