Canada Guy's 2017 Outdoor Alberta Gold

Hey 420 community! I am very excited to share another grow from Alberta, Canada!

This time I'm growing my own Diesel cross that I have been working on for several years. I am calling my strain Alberta Gold.

This plant was a dropped seed from an old nugget in an old seed box. She was found as a sprout in the middle of the lawn by the fire pit on May 4, 2017. She then got moved to the garden and she is still growing.

She started flowering August 1st. She is 100% organic, watered with plain tap water. The idea is to just let mother nature do her thing.

I can legally grow on my property with my ACMPR permit.

This grow I am hoping to harvest 1 pound of fine quality organic medicine.

Feel free to comment, ask questions, or just say hi!

On with the show!

Hope you enjoyed the slide show!

Wow! Maximum of 100 pictures per post achieved!

Thanks for following along.

Damn that is one huge plant. Nice work. Wish I could grow outdoors. Followed just because it's an Alberta grow :) I hope this Alberta gold breeding experiment does well. I would order seeds off you for sure. Love the diesel

Hey FatNeil! Welcome. I have lots of seeds, but they are not for sale.... yet. This plant is one of the older generation ones, she was not planned. She is a very hardy girl, resistant to cold, mold, and bugs. Indoors she finishes in 75 days, loves LST, moderate feeder, but she will take what you throw at her, and if temps get low she turns purple

Here she is a couple days ago... still growing.

Her flowers will be the size of a toddler if mother nature cooperates. It's a very smooth smoke. It's a relaxant and is good for back pain and unwinding after a hard days work. The taste is one of fuel, earth, and skunk mixed into one. It always reminded me of working in the oil patch. It's easy to have too much and you quickly find yourself on the couch with some chips. Half a bowl full is a full bowl full. She is best harvested with cloudy trichs, if you wait till amber she will be sleep medicine.

That is a virtual buffet of critters you have captured photos of there CG. And those are just the ones you have seen. Wow, again Mother Nature fascinates in a variety of life and the way that life interacts. Be strong Alberta Gold.

Sweet jesus lol, she is looking fantastic, musta missed the side road leading to this journal. She is going to produce some fine buds over the next few weeks. I might try a few outdoor plants with some of my BC Big Bud crosses from JOTI next spring. Couldnt hurt to throw a few clones in the ground late May.

Subbed up and looking forward to see the harvest!

I think your the only one actually following my journal here lol. There's a bunch of spiders too and other predators. Sometimes even birds hang out on her. Maybe I'll put up a bird feeder lol. She keeps getting taller every day, her flowers are slowly forming. I sure hope I get lbs, that will be my concentrates.

Being the end of summer and school about to start has everyone scrambling to get the best of what they can when they can. This may lead to distractions for our fellow cultivators. Cannibis has been my go to extra curricular activity for many years. Life distracts me from my hobby....lol.

As long as the critters are not consuming your amazon lady in large bunches, let 'em be I reckon. If I were a bird there would be no better roost. May your weather hold out for time to mature on that lady.

And there is nothing more satisfying than having more than enough product to make goodies from. It has always been a sacrifice to either use what I had as smokeable, vapable or edible. Never had enough for all at the same time until recently. Hell yeah!

Welcome UA! Glad to have you here! Yup she is pretty massive, she can get up to about 8 feet. Most photoperiod strains do not do well here, the weather is very unpredictable. If I was to open her up and veg indoors for a few months before going to the garden I would easily pull 4 lbs from her.

Why do you guys say just a few weeks? Lol. If previous grows are any indication she should be ready at the end of October. Fortunately I will have a great excuse to purchase large quantities of dry ice lol.

It's super stormy this evening. The ol girl is doing just fine. She has been through sub zero (-4 c) weather, marble size hail, hurricane force winds, torrential rain, and a heat wave that went into the high 30s. At the end of this grow I plan to make a video of every days picture. If anyone is curious what you can achieve with being 100% organic, here it is!
