    Chump's First

Here is some pics of my bag seeds. The bigger 1 is about a week older then the smaller one. I staggered the planting dates to see which ones fare better. Also not shown is another pot that size, that hasn't sprouted yet. I have 2 bigger potters (probably 3 gal.) that I'm going to plant soon. I'm using recycled soil from last year annuals, with some organic blood meal (just a pinch once a week or so), and I water them every few days. They're in a blind spot (from neighbors) outdoors. The smaller one had some bird seed land in it when it was under the bird feeder. Hopefully that wont be a problem. I kept them in the shade until they sprouted up a little. The newer one is still in the shade.

I know that the pots are small, but I have to keep it on the down low. Any advice for getting maximum yield from smaller pots appreciated.

Thanks, I sure hope they turn out well. The seeds were from some killer green, not sure of the strain. My concerns are 1. Getting caught 2. the pot sizes. Being a stealth deal, they're not exactly 5 gal buckets. But hopefully they'll be okay.

You guys on here are cool

My partner and I are going through the proper process here in the "enchanted mitten" state to have perscriptions. She has arthritis, and I suffer from GERD. Easily cured with God's medicine.

    Right On,

The bigger one is a little bigger then in the 1st pics. But we got a lot of rain today so it's kind of droopy. It's still standing, it's just the leaves that are sagging. Hopefully it'll be okay. The little one didn't seem to mind the rain as much. Still waiting for #3 to sprout.

Does anyone know if the only way to tell the sex is after flowering begins? I used big, dark, striped, healthy looking seeds. I've always thought male seeds are the wimpy, light colored seeds you can crush.

Here's a thread that discusses this.

I'll ask a grow support guru to stop by and discuss it as well

    Re: Chump's First

Chump, the look of the seeds has nothing to do with the sex that it will turn out.
Here are a few links that will help explain it in detail..

Then just give this link a good look over. It has a wealth of info for new growers, heck, old ones to..

    Re: Chump's First

The only other way you'll be able to tell the sex is if you allow your plants to sexually mature in the vegetative state. This usually happens after the 4th week of vegetative growth either 18/6 or 24/0 light cycle. There's no other way. ;-) Here's some more information with actual pics of preflowers. Looking forward to your grow, and feel free to pm me if you need any help.

    Re: Chump's First

Here is some pics from yesterday.

This is the smaller of the 2.

And the larger one, with a fly on it.

A close up of the bigger plant which is nearly a month old. Not sure if these little bumps are the sex or just another leaf ready to sprout?

An overhead shot of the older plant, with some of a leaf chewed up by a pest.

    Re: Chump's First

The bigger 1 is looking really good. I'll try to get some pics up soon. Maybe it'll show it's sex soon. It's going on the 6th week.

If it's a female, should I clone it then? Or should I clone it now, so the clones have time to grow. But if I make clones of a male, then I've just wasted my time right?

I've got 3 going, all planted about 2 weeks apart from each other.
