DWC and 2nd reservoir and water level

I have been running current culture undercurrent system. Using Advanced PH perfect. The ppm keep rising. AN says to not worry about ppm since ph perfect formula and ppm meters do not mix well.

I also have a 2nd reservoir to keep the cc system water level stable. AN said to turn off the 2nd reservoir and let the system run without any topping off for 36 hours. They said every 36 hours to open the 2nd reservoir to top off. The 2nd reservoir has nutrients as well.

How shall I handle the water level etc.
