Are you covering the hydroton and bucket tops for heat purposes?

Mostly to conserve water. But it brought the res temp up 5-6 degrees and may have been too much light under the plants too. Took them off after 24hrs

Edit: unless I'm mistaken, these drip rings service many proposes. Took those covers off and not only did my res temp drop back down it dropped the tent's temp 2 degrees overall and in turn brought humidity up 3%

I would have assumed the res temp would lower. Thought light and heat would be directed elsewhere. Weird.

It's called evaporative cooling. Found a guy on YouTube out in Arizona growing tomatoes outside in a hydro setup. Water temps are 20f cooler than the outside air just due to evaporative cooling. I was looking into a diy chiller and found it. So I took the plastic off and I was good. Not to mention I think it was too much light bouncing back to the bottoms of the leaves.

I'm sure the more experienced crowd hates these things but can anyone tell if there's something going on here? She's been droopy lately. I've been careful with nutes. Should she be at full strength now? Just transplanted her today

Droopy "lately" is how long? Transplanting can cause that but they'll spring back pretty quick if they're healthy.

I'd say in the last few days since I turned the MH light on. I've been giving her half the nutes every two waters. Does she need more nutes now with the new light?

It could be several things. Over/under watering or too close to the lighting are the initial thoughts.

I only water when coco gets light. Ended up being every day since new light. That's why I transplanted. The light is about 4ft away. Same as the ones in the dwc I watered to waste before I pulled it and the water ph'd @ 6.3 and ppm was 800

You're growing in coco with drain to waste? You can't overwater in coco and should be watering twice a day.

We are still learning coco but have definitely had some that we felt was overwatered and making our babies droop. I propose that one brand or batch of coco may hold more or less water / air than another.

We have mixed in 1/3 growstone for aeration in our new efforts

I wasn't draining to waste. I'd add 100-200ml of water or nutes in a water, water, nute cycle. Just did that right before transplant to see how it was. I can dim lights by percentage but not by watts. I've heard that's not a great idea though

    Another noob grow!

Drain-to-waste vs recirculating are different styles of growing

Your current style is drain to waste even if u don't waste any Another noob grow!
