Quick question regarding hps bulb

So ive setup an indoor using a 250 hps bulb. Long story short, i tried sticking it to the wall with masking tape and scotch but they melted, the bulb fell, burnt the floor and almost lit my whole house on fire. What do you guys use? Any way to prevent this from happening again?

What exactly are you trying to stick to the wall?

If you mean you tried hanging the light with masking tape then I'd suggest an eye-bolt in the ceiling and make sure you hit a stud. Medical cannabis isn't going to help much if your burnt to a crisp...

Thanks bob. And yes sorry if it was unclear, i tried to stick the socket to the wall. No its not a joke, im aware it was not a smart thing to do.

Your welcome Sabio,

If you have to hang it from the wall try and use an L bracet. Make sure it is VERY securly fastened and there is at least 16" from the wall? Someone else with more experience using 250w hps bulbs may suggest more or less distance.
