I topped my plant but

So I topped my plant and I grew back but not only with 1 but 2 new sites of growth. Anybody ever have this happen to them?

? Yes. That's just what topping does. The two side branches, from the node below the cut, they become the new tops.

But what I'm saying is, the top I pinched off grew back as well as the 2 new growths below it. So now I have 4 tops from one topping. Get it? Hard to explain lol

Sounds like you fimed it. Where you take 80% of the new growth. Normally when you top it you will see a little growth but not much but the nodes where you topped grow big like 2 new stems.

You can see in the picture that little middle got a little brown stem and those 2 nodes became branches
