Will the auto-flower gene carry over if you breed her with a photoperiod plant?

That's the million dollar question
What I understand it can, but it's a crap shoot
I have 2 strains, autos, I crossed with a male photo. I'll be testing this theory in a month or so
I do know of peeps here that seem to be getting mostly photo with their crosses

Maybe my understanding of this is wrong, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong
Some seeds would show traits of the photo, some would show traits of the auto
So what you would need to do is grow out a batch of the seeds, find the pheno that best displays the qualities that you're looking for, the you'd want to back breed that to stabilize the trait
Short answer is I think some seeds will and some won't
