Does Purple Kush turn Purple on its own when mature or do I need to lower my PH?

Don't mess with the PH, that can bite you in the backside....Strains that are prone to it can turn and it is usually the last few weeks of Flower that they bring it on harder (not always so it may not as a depends on what genes it took especially with hybrids), lower temps can bring on the colors more in my experience, as my Blue Widow clones have varied on how much purple depending on time of year for harvest (you can go thru my Anti Journal Journal and see pics of them).
