Which lamp should I get for my tent?

Hey 420 Friends,

At the moment I´m growing my plants under 2x Mars Hydro 96x5Watt in a 80cmx80cmx160cm Tent ( 2.6ft x 2.6ft x 5.2ft ).

But now i kinda want to switch things up... I want to test a HPS Lamp, to see if I can get better results.

I´m not sure if I should get a 400Watt or 600Watt HPS Lamp. Maybe the 600Watt is overkill for my Tent?

Or would you even suggest me to use a different Lamp then the HPS?

Only challenge may be height and heat.

I use a 600w HPS in a 4x4x6'6 tent and I need more height..lol

Is suspect a 400w be fine with a vented hood, fan and filter

With a 12" pot, 12" light area, 16" from plants in flower, dosent leave much grow area

I suffer from the same small tent syndrome. I've been rocking 4 of the old style Mars 300 lights (60x5w, 140w actual draw) for 3 years and never looked back. Height can be a problem but I stick to mostly indicas and indica dominant hybrids (my preference anyway) and top plus LST my way through a grow.

you could get the new(ish) cmh 315W lamps or build a cob light 3-400W

0.8X0.8 meter is 0.64 m2 , I would say your 2 mars hydro are just enough for your tent , I have the same marsh it pulls ~120 veg and ~190W veg+bloom, par/watt is not exactly high but it does the job.

My tents 1.5x1.5m I've got 600hps in middle and 5 boss leds round outside can't have too much light if the temps stay good then run both

Right your tents 80cm mines 150cm so mines not double urs but close
