Plant Square footage?

I know that i've read on other forums that people seem to have consensus that a square foot per plant should be good, but a friend of mine that knows his shit better than me mentioned that I would want about 2 square feet per plant. Basically, I'm looking at a 2ft x 2ft closet and would like to use 4 plants as opposed to one, but would rather get one bomb plant than 4 so-so ones.

Any advice, suggestions?

I'd run 2 plants in that area. That would give you the room you want with enough bud to last a while.

what's your height looking like?

Its a pretty much a standard floor to ceiling height, about 8 ft. but im gonna cut it about 1.5 ft short so i can put a intake/outtake fan system in.
