How To Speak To An Officer

How To Speak To An Officer

    #1 Be Polite.

#2 Make sure he knows that you know HE is in charge of the situation.

#3 If you would like to ask him for a warning instead of an arrest, pull him away from your friends and speak with him privately. The last thing he wants is to give ALL your friends the impression that he is 'soft.'

    #4 Do not beg.

#5 Do not embarass him in any way. This is really a subset of #2 & #3. If he is a security officer who works the same shift every night, do not do anything to ruin his reputation in that area. It will only cause him to makeestablish his power, possibly by having you arrested

    #6 Be calm.

#7 Give him this line, "If we were smoking and vandalizing, I could picture an officer telling me 'If you weren't vandalizing, I might be able to let you go, but because you were breaking more than one law, I can't let this slide.'" And then make sure he knows that other than smoking, you were being a good citizen.

    #8 KNOW YOUR RIGHTS!!!!

    Any others?

    speeding in a school-zone (30 in a 20): ticket

    expired sticker: ticket

speeding in leon valley (48 in a 35*): warning

"expired sticker" (not really expired, his mistake): no ticket/ no warning

speeding (60 in a 45**), license plate frame (illegal in Texas), and driving w/o a license: warning, warning, warning

    * The speed limit drops from 45 to 35 once you enter Leon Valley. It's hard not to speed there.

** This was along the access road (service road) of a highway that is being built. There is virtually no traffic, and the roads are wide, so EVERYBODY speeds there. We all just treat it like a highway.

Never trust ANY pig. Getting pulled over is just step number one in the incarceration process. Keep your mouth shut and speak to your lawyer first.

key point: Cops CANNOT help you with prosecution, so if they say, "we will get the charges reduced (unless they lie for you)" dont believe them,

also if they say "i can go to the judges house and get a warrent right now, why dont you just let me search you" the answer is ALWAYS, "I would feel more comfertable if you got a warrent"

    Speeding 80 in a 35: warning/no ticket

    speeding in a school/church zone, 40-25: ticket

rolling thru a stop sign: ticket

headlight out (with 3 bottles of vodka in my car and 2 drunks 16 yr old girls in the back seat who smelled profusely of alcohol): warning/escort home

headlight violation (brights were stuck on): ticket

    license plate lights out: ticket

speeding 40 in a 25: warning (only b/c the same cop had pulled me over the day before for the headlight violation :P)

Cops are bitches and liars and are never to be trusted.
