Question on making cannabis butter

Hello I had a quick question on making butter from trim. I am harvesting my first plant soon and obviously don't want the sugar leaves Togo to waste. Question is once I trim off all the sugar leaves do I have to make the butter right after I cut them down or is it okay to wait a week after cutting down the leaves if I store them in a bag and maybe put them in the fridge or will the leaves get too dry and lose there potency ?

I'd say - just dry them the same as you would with bud. Or freeze it.

I dry my trim out til its crispy, then store it in the freezer in bags. Ive stored it for 5 or 6 months with no appreciable difference in potency.

I read a blog that said they would put their trim in paper bags to dry it out.
