Hiya guys am considering building a small veg cabinet to get 4 to 6 seeds or clones a month head start in life so am saving time in my grow tent.

My question is would something along the above lines be good enough to get a good strong healthy plant to the 4 week mark then move her under my 600w HID (gradually of cause).

I personally use a mars hydro 144 that I got for a killer deal used to take my clones from rooted to week 4-6 of veg, even a mars 300 would do the trick and you'll be getting 130 true watts versus the 96 of the 2ft t5. These would work but the 2ft t5 has never really impressed me, you can buy 10 23w cfl and sockets for close to the same price even.

I use 2 cfl an 1 led bulb, keep light 4-8" away an my plants r short an thick healthy. Started nutes but getting minor nute burn gotta cut back a lil. I just purchased a 1000w hps I'll be moving them under for flower but as it is now Iam super happy with the cfl's. Cheap as dirt an working wonders

Might rethink my little room then I also thought about up grading from 600w to 1000w in flower tent but if anything I'd probably go 2 x 600w just to give me that adaptability.

2 600w is where it's at, I looked into the 1000w and lumens per watt the 600 is far more efficient!

My only concern would be a over kill of lumens and possible electricity waste
