Hi all,
Used to be in this community years ago, took a break. Coming back it seems the tech has progressed and although I know some of this may have been asked in the past, its tough to get an up to date read on the whole light efficiency discussion.
Situation:
5' x 5' Grow tent
Heat will be an issue over the summer; we do not have AC
The concern is that more ac to keep tent in correct range could be a bit much on the circuit
We also would like to watch our noise levels if possible
This is where I thought LED. In this space, I would preferably run a 1000w HPS, potentially 600w if I am watching the heat and electricity usage
What would I need to run in LED to get comparable results, and is the heat difference that significant? LEDs seem to have come down in price since I was growing indoor back in 2012
What type of fan would be powerful enough for a LED set up in this size tent? I believe i used to run a 600 cfm carbon filter fan on low for my 1000w hps, but my memory isn't my strongest quality.
