Looks like your off to a good start! Have you thought about topping the plant for more main colas? Your plant is at the perfect time to do so.

I like to tuck some of the larger fan leaves down and under the growth below them. It seems to help prevent the side branching from lagging as far behind the main(s).

I like to top once early and flip to 12/12 when they reach about 16in-18in (40cm-45cm). That typically produces a 30in-36in (76cm-91cm) plant at harvest.

thanks for the feedback! I topped the plant about 2 days ago..... it looks like it hasn't grown much since but
a lot of new root growth is coming out of hydro so I'm hoping ones that hits the water it just shoots up!

It is really preference. People will say defoliate others will say wait and defol, others will say try not to defol at all. Anything you do will add extra time to your grow.

If it were me, I'd start doing some LST to let light in to lower leaves. Less stress and when they get real bushy you could defol then if necessary instead of doing it twice. Like I said, all preference.

You only want to defoliate your plants (if you're going to) about a week before flipping to flower (usually lollipopping) and then 3 weeks after flower you defoliate again after stretch. After that it's mainly just tucking fan leaves during the last weeks. I would not recommend defoliating in veg.

Like tunkers said it's best to LST (tie them down) during veg and give them more light that way.

thanks guys! I'm gonna look into LST in the coming week ...would you say she is growing strong? its 5 weeks old today and my FF schedule says I should be putting her into veg...should I wait a week or 2?
