All five bills passed, with overwhelming support!

SB 1460 - decriminalization of one ounce: 24-0-1 (Shimabukuro was excused)

SB 58 - increases plants, dried ounces, patient-caregiver ratio, clarifies transportation language: 24-0-1 (Shimabukuro was excused)

SB 175 - moves program from Public Safety to Health: 24-1 (Kouchi voted "no")

SB 1458 - licenses compassion centers, producers and infused products makers: 24-1 (Slom voted "no")

SB 113 - creates a 3-year research program: 23-2 (Slom and Kouchi voted "no")

Five for five. Can't do any better than that! Last year the Senate passed three cannabis bills, also by wide margins, so while today is not a complete surprise, it is certainly great news!

(Actually, I see that HB 1085, which would increase the fee, passed the House, with zero "no" votes and moves to the Senate.)

These Bills now move onto the House for a scheduled hearing. The house is more conservative than the Senate, and can choose not to hear the bills at all. We believe that they will be responsive than last year as they killed all bills. Letters, emails & calls to your Representatives can help. There will be more testifying to do soon again, so a big mahalos to those who have helped. The Senate has listened to your requests and have spoken thus far with actions. Let's carry this thru pass the house and on to the 4th floor of Gov. Abercrombie for his signature.
