Ok folks been watching on here awhile and im on other sites but felt like sharing here also. This is only my second grow inside but I have grown outdoors for over 20 years. Last year I found the forums on here and wanted to share and learn what I could . my setup consists of
1- 2 mars hydro 96s with a 1000 watt mh and hps for flower. 2 - 1 Nanolux ballast. 3- 1- 6 inch vented hood. 4- 6 pack Rdwc with a res.5- 951 gph water pump with filter attachment . 6- truncheon blue lab ppm meter . 7 ph pen 8 temp and ppm meter combined 9 6×6 room covered in mylar
My nute system is house and garden aqua flakes A and B along with bud XL and multi zen. Sm 90 is a big partof my grow now . ask ill let u know why. Im using a root generator and silica. This is my first Rdwc. So any input welcome . but so far so good

Here is why I use lava rock instead of those clay peoples that don't do shit . the lava rock absorbs the nutes. The roots actually dig into the rick and make a home as you can see in the pic. So the way I have my system set up I can top feed continuously and in doing that i get my giant feeder roots on the top of my stalk. Ill send pics later to show what I mean .

That's cool man, will try it out for sure .
I use clay balls with somethings and yeah they aren't the greatest for the roots.. I grab a hammer and smash em up a bit and the roots burrow into the clay balls nicely. . was a surprise to see the root drilling into the side of a rock .

Yea man a plants roots are stronger than anyone gives em credit for. Through concrete and rock lol. The roots love it I've got rocks that are basically root balls lol

Ok did a res change today I don't think it needed it but better safe then sorry . I added sm 90 back into my res bout 25 mil for now. It soaped up well. Added root generator and aqua flakes a and b again. And some silica . ph is at 5.8 and the girls haven't missed a step. The roots are doing great on all of em I put them in a tote with an airstone while I changed out. No problems there. Water is 65 degrees for now. That spring water is cold as hell lol. My ppm is back at 1200 and they don't mind a bit . hopefully all stays at peace on my grow .

Ty I built her from the ground up. The rocks are lava rocks. They don't change ph at all. And its a home for my roots .

Update. Well since the res change im pushing 1100 ppm and they aren't hurt by it at all. Roots are doing great now . ph is 5.8 temps around 64. All is well so far here

Where did you find those lava rock? That's pretty cool the roots can dig in! Nice set up!

Good evening folks. Well the last couple days have been a challenge to say the least, my roots decided overnite that they was gonna start to rot again. So off to the water hole And to the hydro store I was this morning . got some hydro guard and aqua flakes a and b. Came home did the whole system and cleaned it all out. Refilled and got her running again. Eventually ill figure this shit out. Until then puffpuff passengers.
