BRIDGEPORT–With marijuana slated to be sold legally across the border in Massachusetts next year, Connecticut lawmakers are increasingly pondering the politics of pot.

State Sen. Ed Gomes is inviting the public to voice their views at open forum next week.
More than just a town hall, the forum will include a panel of experts on both sides of the issue, including legal marijuana salesmen and medical professionals.

They are Erik Williams, of MiNDFUL, a boutique medical and recreational cannabis company; Jason Ortiz, Policy Chair at Minority Cannabis Business Association; Louis Reed, a substance addiction clinician; and Dr. Deepa Camenga, Physician, of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

The meeting is planned for Monday, March 27 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Beacon Hall Event Center in the Housatonic Community College at 900 Lafayette Blvd., in Bridgeport.
