A man has been warned by police after he was found with cannabis in his car in Hertford.
Police stopped a vehicle in Parliament Square, Hertford, at 2.20pm on Thursday (July 28) because they believed there was cannabis inside the vehicle.
A police spokesman said: "Officers stopped a vehicle in Parliament Square, Hertford, at around 2.20pm on Thursday, July 28.
"They had reason to believe there was cannabis in the vehicle.
"A man travelling in the vehicle was detained under the Misuse of Drugs Act and a search of the vehicle was conducted.
"A quantity of cannabis was recovered."
A 21-year-old man from Sawbridgeworth was issued with a formal warning after the incident.
