Around 6,000 marijuana plants were discovered by drug agents in an outside growing area in Jefferson Davis County Thursday.

Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics agents say it is the largest outdoor marijuana grow found in the state since the 1980s.

MBN is in in the process of removing the plants and getting a plant count, according to director John Dowdy.
