Marijuana's Popularity Is Increasing Among Americans

Americans are consuming more and more cannabis. If the Substance Abuse Research Center (CeSAR) found that 35% of Americans reported using cannabis in 2014, the figures increased in 2017 to 48% according to Gallup. If so far cannabis was widely used for recreational purposes, Americans are also becoming aware of medical reasons. For instance, the friction with Marijuana oil reduces back pain, rheumatism and joint pain.

Marijuana is one of the most potent medicinal plants on the planet

Marijuana was used in ancient Ayurvedic and Chinese medicines up to 5000 years ago in the same way as medicinal plants known as turmeric, ginseng and ashwagandha among others. The Indian variety of Marijuana contains a drug called THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). Prohibited in many countries, its popularity continues to grow in the United States. Many scientific studies suggest that the benefits outweigh the disadvantages it may cause due to some curative effects.

Cannabis blends with the body system

The reason that cannabis has so many applications for health is simply that our body harbors an endocannabinoid system, whose properties are stimulated by cannabis (THC , CBD and other cannabis components). This system helps the body to maintain our cellular homeostasis (the state where all our cellular functions work) and to treat external threats. Our cells are therefore made to receive cannabinoids, whether produced by the body or brought by cannabis. These chemical compounds help our bodies maintain a balance between the synthesis, degradation and recycling of cellular products. And it is not we who say it, but the scientist who discovered THC.

Marijuana helps growth of brain cells

Cannabis has long conveyed the image of a drug that killed the brain. But it has benefits on the right part of the brain; the plant has interesting properties that must be considered in the fight against stress and diagnoses of mental illness. Some studies show that CBD can help the brain regenerate some of its cells, especially in the hippocampus, in relation to its anxiolytic and antidepressant effects. If use is appropriate, low-dose ingestion may increase the frequency of body energy in people with mental disorders. Inhaled marijuana is known for its relaxing properties. It is therefore recommended for people suffering from excessive stress and anxiety.

It alkalizes the metabolism

Marijuana and its derived foods have properties that lower the pH. The level of acidity in the body is directly related to the vibrational frequency. The lower the acidity, the better the frequency.

Cannabis prevents depression

Anxiety manifests itself when the person is obsessed with the future. Depression occurs when the person is folded over his or her past. In both cases, smoking a bit of Indian Marijuana brings the person back into the present moment.

Marijuana reduces insomnia

By reducing stress, the plant also reduces mental hyperactivity and also thus decreases insomnia. The calm and tranquility of the mind are requirements for quick and profound sleep.

It stimulates digestion and increases appetite

By eating seeds of marijuana for example, the taste makes you salivate. Its sweet aftertaste stimulates digestion and increases appetite.

Cannabis hydrates the skin and hair

People with dry skin should rub themselves with Marijuana oil. This oil helps counteract the effects of eczema, psoriasis, skin allergies and wrinkles.

Cannabis slows development of cancer cells

This plant is the worst enemy of Oncology, because its oil is a truly effective cure for cancer. It is scientifically proven that the use of cannabis oil kills cancer cells, killing whole tumors, even when the patient is considered to be terminally ill. A recent study by the National Cancer Institute shows that Cannabis slows the development of tumors and kills certain cancer cells. Cannabis is also effective in relieving the side effects of chemotherapy, such as nausea, and promoting sleep and appetite while reducing pain. The Internet is full of stories of miraculous remission after terminally ill patients have used it.

Marijuana counteracts the effects and convulsions of several syndromes

Smoking marijuana effectively reduces and sometimes completely cancels out the appearance of syndrome such as epilepsy, Tourette and ADD / ADHD. Cannabis is now prescribed as an alternative medicine for the treatment of epilepsy. In a recent study conducted by the American Academy of Neurology, 137 people with epilepsy (25 with Dravet's syndrome and 22 Lennox-Gastaut syndromes) who were not responding to current treatments were treated with Epidiolex, a drug composed of 99% THC, for 12 weeks. The results are very eloquent:

•Epileptic seizures decreased by 54% among the 137 people who took Epidiolex for 12 weeks

•The 25 people suffering from Dravet's syndrome saw their crises reduced by 63%

•The 27 people suffering from atonic seizures saw the crises decrease by 66.7%

Slowing down Alzheimer's progression

Cannabis is one of the few plants to contain Omega-3 fatty acids that lower blood pressure, reduce the risks associated with cardiovascular disease and prevent the onset of Alzheimer's disease. But scientists have suggested in a study published in the Alzheimer's Disease Review that low doses of THC slowed the production of beta-amyloid proteins, which usually accumulate to create plaques in the brain and is a known feature of Alzheimer's disease.

Marijuana protects against coronary heart disease

The action of chewing Marijuana leaves has healing properties against heart disease and coronary disorders, by regulating blood pressure, reducing fat and cholesterol in the blood, and lowering the sugar level.

Atherosclerosis is characterized by the accumulation of fat deposits (lipid deposits) on the walls of the arteries that form atheroma plaques, mainly composed of cholesterol. These plaques accumulate most often in the large arteries (coronary arteries, cerebral ...). This process is also marked by the intervention of cells of the immune system. As they repair the damaged vessels, they cause inflammation. This flow of events results in loss of elasticity and narrowing of the vessels. Blood circulation is made difficult and may favor the formation of a clot (thrombosis), sometimes resulting in an infarction or a stroke.

Interesting research on Cholesterol's deposit and atherosclerosis

To prevent these terrible outcomes, certain treatments (such as statins) help to reduce bad cholesterol. In addition, they may calm the inflammation and intensity of the immune response. But Swiss scientists may well have found a singular compound with the same strengths. The research team led by Dr. François March from the university hospital of Geneva has tested the effects of a rather singular product: THC (or delta-9-tetracannabinol), the main psychoactive compound of cannabis! Although known to have anti-inflammatory properties, no studies had sought to elucidate these properties in the face of atherosclerosis.

Proven reduction of fatty deposits

For 11 weeks, the researchers gave a very high cholesterol diet to mice modified to develop atherosclerosis. Half of the rodents were receiving low daily doses of THC over the last six weeks. Insufficient doses to create the least dependence. At the end of the study, the mice receiving this little extra showed significantly less fatty deposits in the arteries than the others. The active compounds of marijuana act on the cells via two entry gates: the CB1 and CB2 receptors. In the brain, the cells present in large quantities the first receptor. It is he who is at the origin of the psycho-active properties of cannabis. At the level of immune cells, the second receptor (CB2) is the majority and it is through this front door that THC would therefore reduce fatty deposits. The ideal would then be to have cannabinoid compounds which would act only on the latter receptor.

It provides a source of protein

Marijuana protein and its derivatives provide a rich and healthy source of food. Marijuana is also a source of nutrients. Athletes must try Marijuana powder in their blends. Vegans should consider Marijuana as the protein of choice.
